Cinnamon Sugar Sourdough Focaccia

A sweet, crusty, chewy version of our favorite sourdough focaccia! This is a perfect addition to brunch or breakfast with family or friends. 

Ingredients: 

  • 100 g sourdough starter 
  • 400 g water 
  • 500 g bread flour 
  • 20 g white sugar
  • 10 g salt 
  • 3/4 c butter melted 

cinnamon sugar mix 

  • 1/4 c ground cinnamon 
  • 1/2-2/4 sugar (cane sugar, coconut sugar, or light brown sugar)

Steps: 

  1. mix all of the ingredients - first starter and water, then mix. Then add flour and salt and mix well! 
  2. cover and let proof for 12-18 hours until doubled in size 
  3. pour half of melted butter into a 9x13 baking pan 
  4. add half the dough 
  5. spread half the C&S mixture over the dough 
  6. cover with rest of the other half of dough! 
  7. cover and let rest for 3-4 hours 
  8. once rested, pour over the rest of the melted butter. preheat oven to 425.
  9. dimple the dough 
  10. spread the rest of the C&S mixture over the top ! 
  11. bake on 425 for 30 minutes until golden
